Play & Sing [Piano] is aimed at participants who want to play and sing Chinese pop songs with the piano. We focus mainly on how to play chords, coordination of playing and singing together, and how to find your own key for any song. In other words, be your own karaoke.

Stage 2	Intermediate Accompaniment (8 sessions / 60 mins each) More accompaniment styles Fill-ins Intermediate chords Introductions & interludes Covers approx. 4-6 songs
Stage 3	Arranging Your Song (16 sessions / 60 mins each) Working out and exploring chord choices Developing arrangement ideas Covers approx. 8 songs

Recommended for:
• Total beginners with no musical experiences
• Participants who enjoy Chinese pop music in the likes of 周杰伦, 光良, 林忆莲, 陶喆, 林俊杰, 王力宏, 孙燕姿, 梁静茹, etc.

What you can achieve after the course:
• Play accompaniment for various pop songs
• Play accompaniment for your friends when they sing
• Read chord charts
• Understand how to form 3 and 4-note chords

Do I need to own a piano or electronic keyboard?
Yes, we strongly encourage all students to purchase their own instruments for home practice. However as we all know, the price of an acoustic piano may be prohibitive to most aspiring beginners. Hence, we recommend students to either get an electric piano or a portable keyboard as a start. As you improve over time, you may consider upgrading your instruments. Most students we know are happy with a portable keyboard.
